Hello from Barcelona
One year ago Mercedes took this picture of me on the terrace of our lovely Ferran Batik apartment in sunny Barcelona. Little did we know at the time, that today there would be no travel to Barcelona, or anywhere else, and I would be writing this message from the cocoon of our home as we follow the rule book of a new world: instructions to stay home, maintain social distances, etc. In short, everything that all visitors to Barcelona used to like doing is now verboten.
We hope that you and your family are well, as this is the foremost concern of everyone everywhere. We hope that you can stay home and out of harm’s way during this pandemic, and that this time with family brings you closer together.
No travel to Barcelona… yet
These are trying times, where our apartments are closed by order of the health authorities of Spain, and all travel to Barcelona is off limits except for justified emergencies. Understandably, you may also find yourself restricted from traveling, and to tell the truth, Barcelona right now would feel mighty dull.
At bizFlats we are optimistic and look forward to the time when our days are more carefree, our travel less curtailed and where cultural and social life become a driver of our interactions once again.
If you have a booking already with us, and you wish to change your arrangements to travel to Barcelona safely at a more convenient time, we are here to help. We will contact you shortly, and discuss the options with you.
… but awaiting your return
In the meantime this is what we are doing to be ready when the time is right for you to come and visit us:
- Cleaning – we have reinforced our cleaning procedures and equipment to ensure the safety of our guests and our personnel in the post-Covid world.
- Publishing content on our blog and social networks that we trust you will find useful, informative, and entertaining.
- All of us at bizFlats are at your disposal for any questions you might have, or even if you would just like to talk to a friendly voice.
Collectively, we will overcome this situation and the other side there will be a new world in which we will soon reunite with many of you and make many new friends.
